Dr. Akin is the only Active Release Techniques (A.R.T) provider in the Central Valley. Active Release Technique is a soft tissue treatment that involves treating the muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves.
A.R.T. is used to treat anyone from professional athletes, to law enforcement officers, to teachers for their conditions. Not only does it work extremely well for athletes, but individuals have gotten permanent and quick results with shoulder issues, carpal tunnel, neck pain, plantar fascitis, sciatica and many other conditions.

Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy and much more is conveniently offered in house and has been proven to help with most musculoskeletal complaints. Once the patient begins to feel better we start to switch from a pain relief phase to a wellness phase. We show the patients what needs to be done to help you feeling your best.

Upper Cervical Care
Dr. Akin is one of only roughly 1200 upper cervical chiropractors in the world and the only upper cervical chiropractor in Turlock, CA. He primarily focuses on treating the upper neck which is the most neurologically rich area of the spine. This technique focuses on removing the interference in the upper part of the neck where the Brainstem sits, with one simple adjustment.
The brainstem controls every automatic function and response in the body, such as pain, sleep, digestion, blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature, posture, and many more. When the brainstem and the body are able to communicate with each other freely, you are able to live life to it's fullest.
